Andy's Professional Bio Andy LeCouffe is a native of Montreal, Canada. When Andy finished University (B.B.A. at Bishop’s U) he swore he’d never work at a desk. Another little secret…? He had little appreciation for marketing! These ideas would change… In his early endeavors: swimming pool chemistry specialist, sporting goods sales, retail toy sales, dental equipment sales, Andy became a real-world student of marketing, distribution and customer service. In 1989, Andy entered the domain of industrial (MRO) supply doing product and promotion management for a world class supplier of abrasives and industrial lubricants. In 2000, he became National Marketing Manager at one of Canada’s leading industrial distributors where he successfully oversaw the design, production and distribution of major catalog and flyer campaigns using extensive product and contact list databases. There, he was privileged to learn from the late Ken Reed, “KGR” and many talented colleagues. In July 2007, Andy, Manon, Emma and Cannelle (the dog), hit the road, exploring North America... (www.mytripjournal.com/our_adventure)... What a wonderful experience! This lead to a career refocus. Andy joined the tourism industry after a brief stint at one of Canada's National Historic Sites and currently as a manager at the new Kaslo Hotel in BC's Kootenay region (www.kaslohotel.com). He serves on the board of the Kaslo and Area Chamber of Commerce and still does some freelance marketing with his life partner Manon. Andy’s adventurous spirit is drawn from a personal quest to explore, create, and share with family, friends and community. He’s still trying to decide which is the greater challenge: his two young adult sons or his 7 yr old daughter. He’ll keep you posted.
