Andy's Professional Bio

Andy LeCouffe is a native of Montreal, Canada. He co-owns and operates Design On The GoTM with his life partner Manon Gagnon.

When Andy finished University (B.B.A. at Bishop’s U) he swore he’d never work at a desk. Another little secret…? He had little appreciation for marketing! These ideas would change…

In his early endeavors: swimming pool chemistry specialist, sporting goods sales, retail toy sales, dental equipment sales, Andy became a real-world student of marketing, distribution and customer service.

In 1989, Andy entered the wonderful world of industrial (MRO) supply doing product and promotion management for a world class supplier of abrasives.

In 2000, he became National Marketing Manager at one of Canada’s leading industrial distributors where he successfully oversaw the design, production and distribution of major catalog and flyer campaigns using extensive product and contact list databases. There, he was privileged to learn from the late Ken Reed, “KGR” and many talented colleagues.

Today, Andy works with his life partner, Manon, doing freelance marketing. He is still working at a desk most of the time but he has a passion for the principles of direct marketing and even better communications between suppliers, distributors and their end user customers.

Andy’s adventurous spirit in marketing is drawn from a personal quest to explore, create, and share with family, friends and community. He is a board member for a local ecological society. He’s still trying to decide which the greater challenge is: his two teenage sons or his preschool daughter. He’ll keep you posted.
